Earlier this month we ran our own in-house competition to select a design to submit to BowWow Haus London, an event launched by The Blue Cross and Outdoor Arts Foundation aiming to create uniquely designed dog kennels which will be auctioned off for charity. The winner of this competition will showcase their design in locations across London in early 2018.

Our Architectural Assistant Ursula Tomczak won for her adaptable ‘Indoor/Outdoor’ design. The stylish doggy house is made of concrete with a removable quilted lining for use outside. When brought inside it’s transformed into a modern furniture piece which doubles as a small table.

Ursula’s ideas were submitted to the wider competition which will help raise money for two charitable organisations aiming to create one-off public art installations and find forever homes for pets. Blue Cross help more than 40,000 pets each year and we are very excited to take part, especially for a good cause. Rosie the office pup thoroughly enjoyed being the centre of attention for the afternoon (not that she isn’t all the time!)
