Experience

Hlynur Jakobsson held the degree of a technical draftsman prior to graduating from the Oslo School of Architecture in 2001 with a Master in Architecture degree. During his studies he worked on technical detailing for several architectural practices.

After his graduation he moved to London to work on and lead a variety of complex mixed-use buildings for BPR Architects, Shillam+Smith and John Lyall Architects. The projects include leading the mixed-use refurbishment and new build for Aria on Barnsbury Street in Angel with retail, office and flats and leading the mixed-use refurbishment and new build of the Goldsmiths’ Centre in Farringdon with workshops, gallery, cafe and a higher education institute which won a 2013 RIBA Regional Award.

Since joining Formation Architects Hlynur has been responsible for the technical delivery of the grade II listed refurbishment of Connaught Place in Westminster to high end residential use and the new build of two high end residential villas at The Glebe in Chelsea.
