This development of affordable housing provides nine rented and twenty seven shared ownership apartments within a tight urban context. With the close proximity of adjoining roads and a mainline railway, acoustic treatment of the façade was an important part of the external envelope design.
The use of traditional brick to frame the elevations, is contrasted with generous balconies and a combination of glazed and metal balustrading. Heat recovery units are installed, combined with rooftop solar panels to provide a measure of sustainability.
