Every year Formation Architects run an internship scheme in collaboration with The Lycée Françaiswhereby two students are invited to learn about the industry. We encourage participants to join in on small projects and try their hand at architecture for the day. See them here with Charlotte and Clementine who run the programme.
In 2008 Charlotte Keime came to work with us as part of the programme before studying her degree in architecture at Bath University. Following her graduation, Charlotte returned to work with us full-time.
As a member of the Employee Ownership Association we are continuously looking for innovative ways to educate people about the industry. We joined the EOAa while back and support the next generation of architects.
See what Charlotte has to say about her experience below:
“Formation Architects has supported me throughout my development as an architect, by giving me the opportunity to work with them on work placements before university and advising me throughout my studies. Returning to Formation Architects, I am continuously learning and facing new challenges in an international environment, where understanding the differences between cultures and approaches to architecture has helped me develop as an architect.”
Tim Quick, one of the directors of Formation Architects said:
‘There’s a real sense of renewal here at Formation Architects – a new era for the company. Our move to become an Employee Ownership Trust is not only a reflection of our collaborative ethos but it also simplifies the issue of succession for the future.’
