Formation Architects achieved planning consent for Park House, an magnificent two storey family home set in a secluded acre of parkland in the heart of South Kensington.
The proposal includes a double basement accommodating a gym, spa and pool and the reconstruction of the non-listed building above.
The original 1840’s cottages were significantly altered over the 175 years of their existence and was home to a number of well-known residents including Lady Annabel Goldsmith, mother of Jemima Khan and Zac Goldsmith and host of the famous Mayfair Club Annabel’s – named after her.
Richard Caring, entrepreneur, restaurateur and now owner of Annabel’s and luxury eatery brands such as The Ivy and Sexy Fish purchased the house and commissioned Formation Architects to design a 5- bedroom home which reinstates the historic character of the house and makes a positive contribution to the Conservation Area.
The approved design is a sensitive reconstruction which evolved in close consultation with Kensington and Chelsea’s planning, design and conservation officers and was subject to two public consultations.
