Experience:
Akis Stephanides is an experienced Architect with more than twenty-five years of experience across a range of sectors including residential, commercial, cultural and healthcare in the UK as well as Europe and the US.
Prior to joining Formation Architects, Akis worked at various practices in London including PLP Architecture where he was a Senior Associate Partner working on a number of prime London projects such as Chiltern Place providing 55
Residential Units in Marylebone and on the first phase of the Bankside Yards Masterplan coordinating the development of a number of buildings including a 50 storey residential tower and a 225,000sqft Commercial building.
He has also worked on various residential projects for HTA Architects including Phase 1 of the South Acton regeneration project in Ealing providing 167 new homes which was shortlisted for a housing award. Prior to that he worked for Hopkins Architects, where he was a key member of the team on the competition winning Cyprus Cultural Centre providing a range of performance venues
including a 1400 seat Concert Theatre and a 500seat recital hall.
Akis completed his Architectural studies at the University of Manchester. He is a registered architect in the UK and Cyprus and is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects.
