Experience:
Hlynur Jakobsson graduated from the Oslo School of Architecture in 2001 with a Master in Architecture degree working for architecture firms such as Gerstlauer Molne during his studies.
Hlynur moved to London in 2001 to work on and lead a variety of complex mixed-use buildings for BPR Architects, Shillam+Smith and John Lyall Architects. Projects include newbuild and refurbishment of Aria on Barnsbury Street in Angel and newbuild and refurbishment of Goldsmiths’ Centre in Farringdon.
Hlynur joined Formation Architects in 2011 and has been responsible for technical delivery and team leadership of several projects within the practice including refurbishment of Grade II listed Connaught Place into 7 Super Prime residential apartments, newbuild construction delivery of 2 Super Prime Villa’s at the Glebe development in Chelsea, the refurbishment of existing Lots Road Power Station into 350 apartments with ground floor retail units, and newbuild Block A in Oval Village a 370 flat residential mixed use scheme in Kennington.
