Experience
Piotr graduated from the Technical University of Gdansk (Poland) in 1999 with Master’s degree in Architecture and qualified via Part 3 with the RIAI, Dublin, in 2006. Piotr has been registered with the ARB since 2014 and during his career has gained professional experience in the UK, Ireland and Poland, working as an architect on residential and healthcare projects of up to a value of £250m. Piotr has been involved in early adoption of object-oriented design and coordination tools as early as 2001 and BIM Level 2 delivery since 2013.
Since moving to London in 2013, Piotr has focused on technical stages of project delivery using BIM as a tool to provide added value to projects: quality and consistency of information, improved coordination with the Design Team, efficiency of workflows and management of large quantities of data.
At Formation Architects he is responsible for leading a high-level BIM strategy for the studio, leading the team of BIM coordinators and Revit champions who support the studio’s mainstream delivery and super high-end residential projects. He is interested in systems of organising and managing information: BIM from the practical perspective of a practicing architect, always looking for more efficient and more reliable ways of coordinating and producing architectural information. Recently he has further developed his expertise through learning Dynamo (a visual programming language for Revit) and Python (object oriented, high-level programming language).
He is currently working Oval Village for Berkeley Homes, a mixed use, residential led scheme including 189 resi and 4 retail units.
In his spare time, Piotr practices Tai Chi Chen style with Tai Ji Circle London.
