This terrace of buildings in Marble Arch was bought by developer Redrow as their first major super-prime residential development in London. Formation Architects were appointed as lead architect, planning and heritage consultant, working closely with interior designers 1508 London.

The existing terrace of houses was in fact only a retained façade, most of the internal structure having been replaced with a modern concrete frame in the 1980s when the building was converted to office use.

The project creates seven luxury apartments across seven floors in two connected listed buildings. Extensive restoration of the rear facades, verandas and roofs form part of the external works as well as new openings for staircases and mezzanine floors. The new apartments command magnificent views across Hyde Park.

Formation Architects’ appointment was to gain Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent for change of use, as well as to co-ordinate the detail design, tender and construction information for the conversion to residential.
