The new design enhances the cultural and historic significance of the Grade I listed buildings, whilst upgrading and enlarging the existing spa facilities to a standard appropriate to one of the finest hotels in the world.

The spa with its walled garden and outdoor swimming pool was the venue for infamous pool parties in the 1960s. It has been restored with a glazed link that connects to the main body of the hotel.
